Moon Sweepers Packager: Purpose, Setup and Troubleshooting

Quick answer

The Packager is a $100 Logistics machine that takes dust from your held tool and packs it into 1 kg capsules on a belt. Its hopper holds 100 kg, it has one output, and it does not need power. Put it at the end of a belt, load it by hand and run the belt to a station for automatic selling.

The Packager is the bridge between a hand-carried container and a moving belt.

Purpose

What the Packager does

The Packager is a dust drop-off. It takes the load from your tool, holds it and releases it as 1 kg capsules on its output belt. It is not a seller by itself: the value is paid at a station, either by a belt ending at the station or by a catcher with no output belt.

Setup

Set up a working Packager

  1. 01

Place the Packager near your work

Put it at the start of the belt line, where you can walk to it with a full tool. It does not need a foundation for power, but a stable floor makes the belt line easier to read.

  2. 02

    Connect the output belt

The output is on the machine. Run a belt from it to a station intake or to a pressure chamber. Build the belt slightly higher where the ground would block it.

  3. 03

    Load the hopper

Walk to the Packager and use it with a full tool. It accepts dust from the held container and holds up to 100 kg.

  4. 04

    Watch one capsule move

The output places a 1 kg capsule on the belt every 0.35 seconds. If the belt moves and the station pays, the loop is working.

Sell the capsules or process them

Where the Packager output can go
DestinationResultUse when
Station intakeDust sells as the capsules arrive. You want the simplest automatic sale.
Pressure chamberDust becomes sand, then can feed a stone press. You have power and a second machine.
Storage or a second lineCargo waits or is split. You are balancing two production lines.

The belt can carry 88 capsules per minute, while the Packager can place one capsule every 0.35 seconds. If you connect too many sources to one belt, the belt becomes the limit before the machines do.
